About the Journal

ALIVE is a vocationally focused English journal managed by the D3 English Study Program of Politeknik Assalaam Surakarta. The name ALIVE stands for Applied Linguistic Vocational English, representing the journal’s dedication to publishing high-quality academic works in applied linguistics, English language teaching, vocational English, and workplace communication.

This journal provides an academic platform for teachers, lecturers, researchers, students, and practitioners who are engaged in English studies within vocational and professional settings. ALIVE accepts manuscripts written in English or Bahasa Indonesia.

As an open-access journal, ALIVE is published three times a year, in January, July, and November. The journal welcomes scholarly contributions that explore topics in applied linguistics, English for Specific Purposes (ESP), English Language Teaching (ELT), English Teaching for Vocational, English literature, Business English, Tourism English, Pragmatic studies in workplace communication, Applied linguistics research Instructional design in vocational education, Translation for industry sectors, ESP material development.
